मान लीजिए आपके घर में कई साल से LPG connection है और गैस की जरूरत आपको हर महीने पड़ती है। शुरुआत में जिस distributor से connection लिया था उस समय शायद उसकी service ठीक थी। लेकिन समय के साथ स्थिति बदल गई। कभी cylinder समय पर नहीं आता, कभी delivery को लेकर परेशानी होती है, कभी customer care से सही जवाब नहीं मिलता और कभी आपको लगता है कि आपके घर से काफी दूर की agency के कारण refill लेने में ज्यादा दिक्कत हो रही है

ऐसी स्थिति में बहुत से लोग यह मान लेते हैं कि अब अगर agency बदलनी है तो connection बंद करवाना पड़ेगा और नया connection लेना पड़ेगा

लेकिन ऐसा जरूरी नहीं है

LPG consumers के लिए portability की सुविधा काफी समय से मौजूद है। इसका मतलब यह है कि ग्राहक अपने LPG connection को किसी दूसरे distributor के पास transfer कर सकता है। सरकार ने 2013 में LPG portability की शुरुआत की थी और बाद में same market में same oil company के distributor के बीच online transfer को automatic बनाया गया।

इस सुविधा का सबसे बड़ा फायदा यह है कि अगर आपकी परेशानी सिर्फ distributor की service से है तो आपको पूरा LPG connection छोड़कर नया connection लेने की जरूरत नहीं होती

आप अपने क्षेत्र में उपलब्ध दूसरे distributor को चुन सकते हैं

यही LPG portability का मूल मतलब है

लेकिन यहां एक जरूरी बात शुरुआत में ही समझ लें। Indane से दूसरे Indane distributor में जाना और Indane से HP Gas या Bharatgas में जाना एक जैसी प्रक्रिया नहीं है। Same-company transfer काफी आसान और online हो सकता है जबकि inter-company transfer में equipment और security deposit से जुड़ी अलग प्रक्रिया लागू हो सकती है। पुराने सरकारी portability नियमों में inter-company transfer के लिए cylinder और pressure regulator surrender करने तथा transfer/refund documents लेने की प्रक्रिया बताई गई थी।

इसलिए अगर आप LPG agency बदलने की सोच रहे हैं तो सबसे पहले यह तय करें कि आपको केवल distributor बदलना है या पूरी LPG company भी बदलनी है

पहले समझिए Distributor और LPG Company में क्या अंतर है

यह छोटी सी बात समझना बहुत जरूरी है क्योंकि यहीं से portability की पूरी कहानी साफ हो जाती है

मान लीजिए आपके पास Indane LPG connection है

Indane एक LPG brand है जिसे IndianOil operate करता है और आपके इलाके में कोई local LPG distributor Indane cylinders की delivery करता है

अगर आपको उसी Indane company के किसी दूसरे distributor के पास जाना है तो यह intra-company portability यानी same-company portability होगी

उदाहरण के लिए

आपके पास Indane connection है

वर्तमान distributor A है

आपके इलाके में distributor B भी Indane service देता है

आप A से B में अपना connection port कराना चाहते हैं

तो यहां LPG company वही रहती है और केवल distributor बदलता है

दूसरी स्थिति में अगर आपके पास Indane है और आप HP Gas या Bharatgas लेना चाहते हैं तो यह inter-company portability/transfer का मामला हो सकता है

यहां company बदल रही है इसलिए LPG equipment और security deposit की प्रक्रिया भी अलग हो सकती है

इसी वजह से online portability का तरीका समझते समय यह distinction हमेशा याद रखना चाहिए

LPG Agency बदलने के क्या कारण हो सकते हैं

Agency बदलने का कारण हमेशा खराब व्यवहार ही हो ऐसा जरूरी नहीं है

कई बार customer का घर बदल जाता है और पुरानी agency बहुत दूर पड़ने लगती है

कभी किसी इलाके में दूसरी agency का delivery network ज्यादा सुविधाजनक हो सकता है

कभी delivery timing लगातार परेशानी पैदा कर सकती है

किसी customer को complaint handling अच्छी नहीं लगती

किसी को booking और delivery tracking में परेशानी होती है

किसी को distributor showroom तक बार-बार जाना पड़ता है

कई बार customer को लगता है कि उसके आसपास कोई दूसरा distributor ज्यादा convenient location पर है

इन सभी परिस्थितियों में portability customer को एक विकल्प देती है

यही वजह है कि LPG portability का मूल उद्देश्य customer को choice देना था

2013 में जब portability व्यवस्था शुरू की गई थी तब सरकार ने इसे competition और बेहतर customer service से जोड़कर देखा था। ग्राहकों को अपने cluster में उपलब्ध distributors में से पसंद का distributor चुनने की सुविधा दी गई थी और पुराने official process में distributors की refill delivery performance के आधार पर star rating भी दिखाई जाती थी।

क्या पुरानी गैस एजेंसी आपकी portability रोक सकती है

यहां भी बात को थोड़ा सही तरीके से समझना जरूरी है

Same-company online portability में consumer registered login से destination distributor चुन सकता है और 2019 के सरकारी विवरण के अनुसार यह process parent distributor के intervention के बिना automatic बनाया गया था। Transfer Subscription Voucher यानी TSV destination distributor के जरिए customer तक पहुंचाने की व्यवस्था भी बताई गई थी।

इसका मतलब यह है कि अगर आप सिर्फ उसी LPG company के दूसरे distributor के पास जाना चाहते हैं तो पुरानी agency से जाकर permission लेने को portability की सामान्य requirement नहीं माना गया है

हालांकि 2021 के सरकारी विवरण में यह भी बताया गया था कि source distributor customer से संपर्क करके उसे रोकने की कोशिश कर सकता है और customer को निर्धारित समय के भीतर request withdraw करने का विकल्प दिया जाता था। अगर customer request वापस नहीं लेता तो transfer आगे बढ़ता था।

इसलिए “पुरानी agency कुछ भी नहीं कर सकती” जैसा absolute statement देना सही नहीं होगा

सही बात यह है कि online portability व्यवस्था customer को parent distributor पर निर्भर रहने से काफी हद तक बचाती है

क्या LPG Portability के लिए NOC जरूरी है

Same-company online portability को लेकर पुरानी प्रक्रिया में customer को parent distributor के पास जाकर transfer request देने की जरूरत नहीं बताई गई थी। 2019 के PIB विवरण में साफ कहा गया था कि same market में same OMC के transfer को fully automatic बनाया गया और consumer अपने registered login से destination distributor चुन सकता है।

इसलिए अगर आप केवल same-company distributor बदल रहे हैं तो “पहले पुरानी agency से NOC लेकर आओ” जैसी बात को सामान्य online portability requirement नहीं माना जाना चाहिए

लेकिन inter-company transfer अलग मामला है

अगर आप Indane से HP Gas या Bharatgas जैसे दूसरे OMC के connection पर जा रहे हैं तो cylinder और regulator की compatibility तथा security deposit settlement का सवाल आता है

पुराने official portability instructions में inter-company transfer के लिए existing distributor के पास cylinder और pressure regulator surrender करके refund/transfer documents लेने और फिर नई company के distributor के पास reconnection कराने की प्रक्रिया बताई गई थी।

इसलिए दोनों मामलों को एक ही process समझना customer के लिए confusion पैदा कर सकता है

Same Company में LPG Distributor कैसे बदलें

अब सबसे काम की बात पर आते हैं

मान लीजिए आपके पास Indane connection है और आप दूसरे Indane distributor के पास जाना चाहते हैं

या आपके पास HP Gas है और आप दूसरे HP Gas distributor के पास जाना चाहते हैं

या Bharatgas connection है और आप उसी company के दूसरे Bharatgas distributor के पास जाना चाहते हैं

तो इसे same-company portability के रूप में समझ सकते हैं

सरकारी जानकारी के अनुसार customers को respective OMC के web portal और mobile apps के जरिए online portability की सुविधा दी गई है। Registered login से ग्राहक अपने इलाके में उपलब्ध distributor की list में से नया distributor चुन सकता है।

सबसे पहले आपको अपनी LPG company के official digital platform पर जाना होगा

अगर आपका connection Indane का है तो IndianOil के LPG services और Indane digital services उपलब्ध हैं। IndianOil अपनी current LPG services में online portability को भी consumer सुविधा के रूप में सूचीबद्ध करता है।

अगर आपका connection HP Gas का है तो HPCL की official website पर “Change your distributor” service उपलब्ध है।

Bharatgas के लिए भी BPCL के official digital platform का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है

यहां सबसे जरूरी सावधानी यह है कि Google पर दिखाई देने वाली किसी unknown website पर अपना LPG ID, Aadhaar, OTP या bank details न डालें

हमेशा अपनी LPG company के official website या official app से ही process शुरू करें

Online LPG Portability का सामान्य तरीका

सबसे पहले अपने registered mobile number और LPG account details के साथ official customer account में login करें

इसके बाद distributor change या portability से जुड़ा विकल्प खोजें

आपके क्षेत्र में उपलब्ध eligible distributors की list दिखाई जा सकती है

यहां आपको अपने current distributor के अलावा दूसरे distributor दिखाई दे सकते हैं

अगर आपके area में portability के लिए दूसरा distributor available है तो उसे select करें

इसके बाद portability request submit करनी होती है

Request submit होने के बाद उसका status online track किया जा सकता है

पुराने सरकारी portability framework में customer को transfer process के अलग-अलग stages की email information देने की व्यवस्था भी बताई गई थी।

आज अलग-अलग OMC के website और app का interface अलग हो सकता है इसलिए button का नाम बिल्कुल “One Click Portability” ही हो यह जरूरी नहीं है

कहीं यह Change Distributor हो सकता है

कहीं Portability

कहीं Service Request के अंदर distributor change का option हो सकता है

इसलिए सिर्फ button के exact नाम पर निर्भर रहने के बजाय official LPG account में distributor change/portability service देखें

क्या LPG Portability के लिए कोई Transfer Fee लगती है

Same-company portability के मामले में सरकारी जानकारी के अनुसार यह सुविधा free of cost दी गई है और transfer fee या portability charge नहीं लिया जाता। 2021 के PIB विवरण में भी online portability को free facility बताया गया था।

पुराने official portability guidelines में भी portability के लिए transfer fee या additional security deposit न लेने की बात कही गई थी।

इसलिए अगर कोई व्यक्ति सिर्फ distributor बदलने के नाम पर अलग से portability fee मांगता है तो ग्राहक को उसका reason और official receipt जरूर मांगनी चाहिए

लेकिन यहां भी company change और distributor change को अलग रखना जरूरी है

अगर आप एक OMC से दूसरी OMC में जा रहे हैं तो नई company के cylinder और regulator के लिए applicable security deposit arrangement हो सकता है

यह portability fee नहीं बल्कि equipment/security deposit से जुड़ा अलग मामला हो सकता है

Indane से Indane बदलने पर Cylinder और Regulator का क्या होगा

अगर आप केवल Indane के एक distributor से दूसरे Indane distributor में जा रहे हैं तो company वही रहती है

इसलिए सामान्य same-company portability में आपको company बदलने की तरह नया cylinder और regulator लेने की जरूरत नहीं होती

पुराने सरकारी नियमों में intra-company portability के लिए consumer को नया distributor चुनने की प्रक्रिया दी गई थी और transfer को उसी LPG company के network में किया जाता था।

IndianOil की current information में भी LPG connection portability को उपलब्ध consumer service के रूप में दिखाया गया है।

फिर भी आपके specific account में कोई अलग requirement दिखाई दे तो official distributor या OMC customer care से confirm करना बेहतर रहेगा

क्योंकि connection type, equipment status और local system के हिसाब से प्रक्रिया बदल सकती है

Indane से HP Gas या Bharatgas में जाने पर क्या होगा

अब दूसरी स्थिति समझिए

मान लीजिए आपके पास Indane connection है लेकिन आप HP Gas लेना चाहते हैं

यह केवल distributor change नहीं है

यह OMC change है

इस स्थिति में पुरानी company के cylinder और regulator को नई company के equipment से बदलने की जरूरत पड़ सकती है

पुराने official portability rules में inter-company transfer के लिए customer को existing distributor के पास cylinder और pressure regulator surrender करने, refund/transfer documents लेने और फिर नई company के distributor के पास reconnection लेने की प्रक्रिया बताई गई थी।

यानी अगर कोई article यह कहता है कि Indane से HP Gas में जाने के लिए बस एक button दबाइए और कुछ भी बदले बिना अगले दिन HP cylinder आ जाएगा तो ऐसी बात को बिना current official confirmation के मानना सही नहीं है

Company change में equipment compatibility और security deposit का हिसाब आता है

इसलिए inter-company transfer करते समय अपनी current LPG company और नई company दोनों के official instructions को follow करें

Security Deposit का क्या होगा

जब आपने LPG connection लिया था तब cylinder और regulator के लिए security deposit दिया हो सकता है

अगर आप same-company distributor बदल रहे हैं तो सामान्य portability में existing connection का deposit structure बना रहता है

लेकिन अगर आप LPG company ही बदल रहे हैं तो पुराने equipment को surrender करने और deposit settlement की जरूरत पड़ सकती है

पुराने official portability instructions में inter-company transfer के दौरान existing distributor द्वारा cylinder और regulator surrender लेने और refund/transfer documents देने की प्रक्रिया बताई गई थी। नई company के distributor के पास reconnection के समय applicable deposit process पूरा किया जाता था।

इसलिए security deposit को “portability fee” समझना गलत है

यह आपके LPG equipment से जुड़ी deposit व्यवस्था है

अगर आपने पुराने समय में connection लिया था तो आपकी original Subscription Voucher यानी SV और दूसरे connection documents बहुत उपयोगी हो सकते हैं

इन्हें संभालकर रखना बेहतर है

Subscription Voucher यानी SV क्या होता है

LPG connection लेते समय customer को कुछ documents दिए जाते हैं जिनमें Subscription Voucher महत्वपूर्ण document हो सकता है

इसमें connection और security deposit से संबंधित जानकारी रहती है

अगर company change या connection termination जैसी स्थिति आती है तो पुराने documents से यह तय करने में मदद मिल सकती है कि equipment और deposit का settlement कैसे होगा

इसीलिए पुराने LPG documents फेंक देना सही नहीं है

अगर physical document खो गया है तो सीधे local distributor से पूछने के बजाय पहले official customer account और OMC customer service से connection details verify करना बेहतर है

IndianOil की current FAQ में भी connection transfer और equipment surrender से जुड़ी प्रक्रिया में SV, TSV और DGCC जैसे documents का उल्लेख मिलता है।

Portability और Address Transfer एक ही चीज नहीं है

यह confusion भी बहुत common है

Portability का मतलब है कि आप अपने existing LPG connection को दूसरे distributor के पास ले जाना चाहते हैं

लेकिन अगर आपने घर ही बदल लिया है तो मामला address transfer या connection transfer का हो सकता है

मान लीजिए आप उसी शहर में दूसरी locality में चले गए और नया घर किसी दूसरे distributor के service area में आता है

ऐसी स्थिति में company की specific transfer process लागू हो सकती है

IndianOil की current FAQ में same town में residence shift और town से बाहर transfer के लिए अलग-अलग procedures बताई गई हैं।

इसलिए केवल distributor खराब है तो portability देखें

लेकिन अगर घर ही बदल गया है तो address/connection transfer की official process देखें

दोनों को एक जैसा मानने से unnecessary परेशानी हो सकती है

क्या Mobile App से भी LPG Distributor बदल सकते हैं

कई LPG companies अपने customers को mobile apps के जरिए LPG services देती हैं

2021 के PIB विवरण में OMC web portals के साथ mobile apps से online LPG connection portability की सुविधा का उल्लेख किया गया था।

आज OMCs ने digital services को और बढ़ाया है

IndianOil की LPG services में online portability listed है।

HPCL भी अपने digital ecosystem में distributor change और portability जैसी services उपलब्ध कराता है। उसके official chatbot information में portability request करने और cancel करने जैसी सुविधाओं का भी उल्लेख है।

इसलिए अगर website पर option ढूंढने में परेशानी हो रही है तो अपनी LPG company का official mobile app खोलकर Service Request या LPG services section भी देख सकते हैं

लेकिन third-party app से ऐसी service लेने की कोशिश न करें

Portability Request करने से पहले क्या-क्या तैयार रखें

Online process शुरू करने से पहले कुछ basic जानकारी अपने पास रखना अच्छा रहेगा

अपना registered mobile number

LPG consumer number

LPG ID अगर आपके account में उपलब्ध है

Current distributor का नाम

अपने इलाके में उपलब्ध दूसरे distributors की जानकारी

Registered mobile पर आने वाला OTP

और अगर company भी बदलनी है तो पुराने connection के documents

इन चीजों के तैयार होने से process के बीच में बार-बार जानकारी खोजने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती

अगर mobile number LPG account में registered नहीं है तो पहले mobile update की प्रक्रिया पूरी करनी पड़ सकती है

क्या Star Rating देखकर Distributor चुनना चाहिए

पुरानी official portability व्यवस्था में customers को अपने cluster के distributors की refill delivery performance से जुड़ी star rating दिखाई जाती थी। उस समय 5 star को excellent और 1 star को poor के रूप में समझाया गया था।

इसका उद्देश्य यही था कि customer के पास distributor चुनते समय कुछ comparative information हो

लेकिन आज किसी website या app पर rating दिखाई दे तो उसे अकेले अंतिम फैसला मानना जरूरी नहीं है

आप distributor की location भी देखें

आपके घर से दूरी कितनी है

Delivery area क्या है

Complaint handling कैसी है

Refill delivery का अनुभव कैसा है

और क्या वह distributor वास्तव में आपके address को service करता है

अगर दो distributors की rating similar है लेकिन एक आपके घर के पास है तो practical convenience भी महत्वपूर्ण हो सकती है

Online Portability में कितने दिन लगते हैं

यहां एक fixed universal timeline बताना ठीक नहीं होगा

आपके दिए हुए draft में 7 से 15 दिन का एक general estimate दिया गया था लेकिन current official sources में हर case के लिए यही fixed timeline लागू है ऐसा स्पष्ट नहीं मिलता

Same-company online transfer को government ने automatic process के रूप में describe किया है और customer को transfer stages की information देने की व्यवस्था बताई गई थी।

इसलिए request submit करने के बाद status check करना ज्यादा सही तरीका है

अगर request लंबे समय तक pending रहती है तो customer care में complaint/reference number के साथ संपर्क करें

बिना official confirmation के यह मान लेना कि “हर portability exactly 7 दिन में हो जाएगी” सही नहीं है

अगर पुरानी Agency फोन करके रोकने की कोशिश करे तो क्या करें

मान लीजिए आपने portability request submit की

इसके बाद पुरानी agency से फोन आता है

वह कहती है कि आपकी समस्या आज से खत्म कर देंगे

या कहती है कि distributor बदलने की जरूरत नहीं है

या आपको request cancel करने के लिए कहती है

यहां फैसला पूरी तरह आपका है

2021 के सरकारी विवरण के अनुसार source distributor customer से संपर्क करके request वापस लेने के लिए कह सकता था और customer के पास निर्धारित समय के भीतर request withdraw करने का विकल्प था। अगर request withdraw नहीं की जाती थी तो transfer आगे बढ़ता था।

इसलिए केवल फोन आने से आपको request cancel करने की जरूरत नहीं है

अगर आप सच में distributor बदलना चाहते हैं तो अपनी original request और उसके status को track करते रहें

अगर Online Portability Option दिखाई ही नहीं दे रहा तो क्या करें

कई बार customer login में distributor change का option नहीं दिखाई देता

इसके पीछे कई कारण हो सकते हैं

हो सकता है आपके area में दूसरा eligible distributor उपलब्ध न हो

हो सकता है service area अलग हो

हो सकता है आपका mobile number account से properly linked न हो

हो सकता है account में कोई verification या data issue हो

या हो सकता है कि OMC का current portal interface बदल गया हो

ऐसी स्थिति में किसी random website पर जाकर portability करने की कोशिश न करें

अपनी LPG company के official customer care से संपर्क करें

HP Gas customers को HPCL के official customer service channels का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए

Bharatgas customers को BPCL के official support channels का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए

LPG Distributor की शिकायत कहां करें

अगर समस्या केवल distributor बदलने की नहीं बल्कि service की है तो complaint भी दर्ज की जा सकती है

मान लीजिए distributor delivery के समय गलत charge मांग रहा है

या booking के बावजूद refill delivery में लगातार परेशानी है

या staff customer से खराब व्यवहार करता है

या online portability request में कोई समस्या आ रही है

तो पहले संबंधित OMC के official complaint channel पर शिकायत दर्ज करें

IndianOil की current website पर LPG complaints के लिए customer care number 1800-2333-555 दिया गया है। LPG leakage के लिए अलग emergency helpline 1906 है।

यह distinction बहुत जरूरी है

इसे normal distributor complaint number समझकर इस्तेमाल नहीं करना चाहिए

Complaint और Portability को एक साथ कैसे इस्तेमाल करें

मान लीजिए आपका distributor लगातार खराब service दे रहा है

आपने पहले complaint की

लेकिन समस्या बनी रही

अब आप दूसरे distributor के पास जाना चाहते हैं

तो complaint और portability दो अलग actions हो सकते हैं

Complaint का उद्देश्य existing service issue को report करना है

Portability का उद्देश्य distributor बदलना है

अगर आप distributor बदलने का फैसला कर चुके हैं तो सिर्फ complaint करके यह उम्मीद न रखें कि connection अपने आप दूसरे distributor के पास चला जाएगा

आपको applicable portability process भी शुरू करनी होगी

इसी तरह सिर्फ portability request करने के बाद अगर कोई serious complaint है तो उसे official complaint channel पर अलग से दर्ज किया जा सकता है

क्या Portability से LPG Subsidy खत्म हो जाती है

Distributor बदलने और subsidy eligibility दो अलग बातें हैं

सिर्फ distributor बदलने से आपकी LPG subsidy eligibility अपने आप खत्म नहीं होनी चाहिए

लेकिन subsidy के नियम अलग government policies के तहत तय होते हैं

इसलिए अगर आप subsidy receive करते हैं तो distributor बदलने के बाद अपने LPG consumer account में subsidy status और bank-linked details जरूर check कर लें

यह भी ध्यान रखें कि LPG subsidy हर consumer के लिए एक जैसी नहीं होती और समय के साथ government rules बदल सकते हैं

इसलिए पुराने articles में दिए गए subsidy amounts को current rule मानकर न चलें

Portability करने से पहले यह गलती न करें

सबसे बड़ी गलती यह है कि customer गुस्से में अपना LPG connection surrender कर देता है और फिर नया connection लेने निकल पड़ता है

अगर आपकी समस्या केवल distributor की service है तो पहले portability option check करें

Connection surrender करना अलग process है

Portability में existing LPG connection को दूसरे distributor के पास shift किया जाता है

Surrender करने पर connection समाप्त हो सकता है और फिर नया connection लेने की जरूरत पड़ सकती है

इसलिए बिना जरूरत connection बंद न करें

पहले देखें कि आपके area में portability available है या नहीं

क्या Portability से नया LPG Connection Number मिलेगा

Same-company distributor change में existing connection को नए distributor के service network में transfer किया जाता है

इसलिए इसे पूरी तरह नया LPG connection लेने जैसा नहीं समझना चाहिए

लेकिन transfer process में customer number, distributor details या related records में changes हो सकते हैं

अगर company भी बदलती है तो नई company के system में नया consumer record बन सकता है

इसीलिए transfer complete होने के बाद नए distributor से अपने updated consumer details जरूर verify करें

2026 में LPG Customers के लिए एक और जरूरी बदलाव

2026 में LPG से जुड़ा एक अलग महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव PNG connections को लेकर भी आया है

25 मई 2026 को सरकार ने LPG Regulation of Supply and Distribution Amendment Order, 2026 notify किया

इसके तहत जिन LPG consumers के पास PNG connection भी है उनके लिए LPG connection को लेकर ज्यादा flexibility दी गई

ऐसे consumers PNG connection मिलने के 30 दिनों के भीतर LPG connection terminate करने के लिए apply कर सकते हैं

या वे future में non-PNG area में LPG connection restore करने के लिए transfer voucher ले सकते हैं।

यह portability से अलग मामला है

लेकिन अगर कोई व्यक्ति LPG से PNG पर जा रहा है या बाद में दूसरे शहर में वापस LPG की जरूरत पड़ सकती है तो इस नई व्यवस्था को जानना उपयोगी है

खासकर transferable employees, migrant families, tenants और students के लिए यह सुविधा उपयोगी हो सकती है क्योंकि future में non-PNG area में shift होने पर LPG की जरूरत फिर पड़ सकती है।

LPG Agency बदलने का सबसे आसान तरीका क्या है

अगर आपकी problem सिर्फ distributor की service से है तो सबसे पहले अपनी LPG company की official website या app खोलें

अपने registered account से login करें

Distributor change या portability option देखें

अपने service area में उपलब्ध distributor चुनें

Request submit करें

Reference या request number सुरक्षित रखें

फिर online status check करते रहें

अगर request pending या rejected दिखाई देती है तो official customer care से कारण पूछें

और अगर company भी बदलनी है तो पहले inter-company transfer की equipment और security deposit प्रक्रिया समझें

यही सबसे सुरक्षित तरीका है

Portability करते समय किन बातों का ध्यान रखें

अपना OTP किसी distributor employee या unknown person को न बताएं

किसी third-party website पर LPG ID और Aadhaar details न डालें

अगर कोई portability के नाम पर cash मांगता है तो official receipt मांगें

पुरानी SV और LPG documents संभालकर रखें

Cylinder और regulator बिना official process के किसी को न दें

Company change और distributor change को अलग समझें

Portability request submit करने के बाद उसका reference number save करें

अगर कोई problem आती है तो पहले OMC customer care पर complaint करें

और अगर cylinder leakage जैसी emergency हो तो portability complaint की बजाय LPG emergency service का इस्तेमाल करें

LPG Portability से जुड़े आम सवाल

क्या पुरानी गैस एजेंसी से permission लेकर distributor बदलना पड़ता है

Same-company online portability में consumer अपने registered login से destination distributor चुन सकता है और official government description के अनुसार parent distributor की intervention के बिना transfer process किया गया है।

लेकिन inter-company transfer में अलग equipment और settlement process हो सकती है

इसलिए दोनों मामलों को अलग समझें

क्या LPG distributor बदलने का कोई charge है

Same-company portability को official government information में free facility बताया गया है।

लेकिन company बदलने पर equipment और security deposit का अलग settlement हो सकता है

इसे portability charge नहीं समझना चाहिए

क्या Indane से दूसरे Indane distributor में जा सकते हैं

हां

Same-company portability का यही मुख्य उद्देश्य है

अगर आपके area में दूसरा eligible Indane distributor उपलब्ध है तो official online portability facility के जरिए उसे चुनने का विकल्प मिल सकता है।

क्या Indane से HP Gas में जा सकते हैं

Inter-company transfer की सुविधा का official framework मौजूद रहा है

लेकिन यह same-company distributor change जैसा simple process नहीं है

Cylinder और pressure regulator के equipment तथा security deposit से जुड़ी प्रक्रिया लागू हो सकती है।

क्या पुरानी agency मेरा connection रोक सकती है

Same-company online portability में process customer को parent distributor की physical intervention से बचाने के लिए बनाया गया था।

हालांकि source distributor customer से संपर्क करके request withdraw करने के लिए कह सकता है जैसा 2021 के official description में बताया गया था

अंतिम फैसला customer का होता है कि वह request जारी रखना चाहता है या वापस लेना

क्या LPG portability online होती है

Same-company portability के लिए online web portal और mobile app based facility उपलब्ध होने की सरकारी जानकारी है।

लेकिन exact steps और interface OMC के हिसाब से अलग हो सकते हैं

क्या distributor बदलने पर cylinder बदल जाएगा

अगर आप उसी LPG company के दूसरे distributor के पास जा रहे हैं तो आम तौर पर company equipment बदलने वाली स्थिति नहीं होती

लेकिन company बदलने पर cylinder और regulator surrender और replacement की प्रक्रिया आ सकती है।

क्या portability और LPG connection surrender एक ही चीज है

नहीं

Portability में existing connection को दूसरे distributor के पास transfer किया जाता है

Surrender में connection समाप्त किया जा सकता है

इसलिए खराब distributor की वजह से सीधे connection surrender करने से पहले portability check करना बेहतर है

LPG distributor बदलने की जरूरत पड़ने पर आज ग्राहक के पास पहले की तुलना में काफी ज्यादा digital विकल्प हैं

अगर समस्या केवल local distributor की service से है तो उसी LPG company के दूसरे distributor के पास portability एक practical रास्ता हो सकता है

सरकारी रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार LPG portability की शुरुआत 2013 में हुई थी और same-company transfers को बाद में online और automatic बनाने की दिशा में काम किया गया।

इसका सबसे बड़ा फायदा यही है कि customer को हर बार पुराने distributor के showroom के चक्कर लगाने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती

लेकिन यहां सबसे जरूरी बात यह है कि same-company distributor change और inter-company LPG transfer को एक जैसा न समझें

Indane से Indane जाना अलग है

Indane से HP Gas जाना अलग है

HP Gas से HP Gas जाना अलग है

और LPG connection के साथ address बदलना भी अलग process हो सकता है

अगर आप सिर्फ distributor की खराब service से परेशान हैं तो पहले online portability देखें

अगर company बदलना चाहते हैं तो cylinder, regulator और security deposit settlement की प्रक्रिया पहले समझें

और अगर आपका मामला LPG से PNG में shift होने का है तो 2026 में लागू हुई नई transfer-voucher व्यवस्था भी ध्यान में रखें।

आखिर में LPG customer के लिए सबसे जरूरी बात यही है कि connection आपका है और available rules के अंदर distributor चुनने की सुविधा का इस्तेमाल करना आपका अधिकार है

इसलिए केवल इस डर से कि “पुरानी agency जाने नहीं देगी” portability का option छोड़ने की जरूरत नहीं है

पहले official portal पर अपने account में available option check करें

फिर सही process चुनें

और हर step का reference number और official record अपने पास रखें

यही तरीका आपको unnecessary चक्कर, गलत जानकारी और बेवजह के extra charges से बचाने में सबसे ज्यादा मदद कर सकता है
